Freezing capacity

When the company moved into its new building in Enkhuizen in August 2005, a completely new fluidised bed dryer was installed, and in 2007, Heyko invested in a new tunnel freezer with a freezer belt, and new cold stores.

Different types of fish, shellfish and crustaceans can be frozen for consumer sales, including shrimp, smelt, sprat, fruits de mer and other seafood. Fish processing companies which do not have these facilities, or which are suffering from staff shortage problems, can lease this freezing facility from Heyko.
