Eat fish at least twice a week

Experts have concluded that a healthy diet includes eating (preferably oily) fish twice a week: that means that a lot of people should be eating fish more often.

It is a well known fact that eating more fish and less meat will reduce the likelihood of heart and vascular disease, so the Dutch should eat more fish. Current per capita fish consumption in the Netherlands is approximately 70 grams a week, which is not even half the amount recommended by nutritional experts.

A tasty shrimp cocktail, a substantial fish soup, sautéed shrimp or mackerel with toast - fish is very versatile. If it is so healthy and easy to prepare, why not put fish on the menu?
